What can I use it for?

Visual Labels is designed to print one or more full sheets of the same label, e.g., multiple copies of a CD label, a diskette label, a return address label, etc.  Visual Labels allows many types of text and graphics to be placed wherever you like on the label. To put it another way, Visual Labels creates labels that are ideal for visual presentation. For mailing labels, please see Personal Mailing List.

Creating Labels

When creating labels, you start off by selecting the label template based on our extensive database of templates. There are over 200 Avery label templates to choose from, including address labels, card products, disk labels, file folder labels, index products and miscellaneous types. At the main design screen, you have wealth of tools to assist you, including:

• Text - for placing simple text on the business card, using any Windows font. the text can also be rotated, take on a 3D appearance, be aligned left/right/center, and may be transparent or have a selectable background color and border.
  
• MultiLine Text - for long paragraphs of text. Also supports left/right/center alignment, and may use any Windows font.
  
• Symbol - this is a special tool for using all of those "symbol" fonts built into Windows, such as Wingdings and Webdings.
  
• Counter or Serial Number Tool - This tool is used to provide a number that increases by 1 every label, or every several labels. This could be used for serial numbers, for numbering disks etc.
  
• Common shapes - including rectangle, ellipse, round rectangle, with line color and thickness, transparent or selectable color.
  
• Image - for placing clipart on the business card. Select common formats including *.BMP, *.JPG, *.JIF, *.ICO and *.WMF.
  
• SuperShape - The SuperShape tool is a multi-purpose design tool which can be rectangle, oval, rounded rectangle, diamond, triangle or star shaped, and can have special effects properties including shadows, textured surfaces, gradient filled surfaces.
  
• Rich Text - the Rich Text tool lets you enter text in Rich Text Format (RTF). Rich Text Format is the format used by most word processors, and allows multiple fonts, font sizes, font colors, alignments, etc within a block of text..
  
• SuperText - The SuperText tool is a special-effects text object which can include shadows, textured surfaces and gradient filled surfaces.
  
• CircleText - The CircleText tool displays text in a circular or semicircular manner ( 90,180,270 or 360 degrees)

Printing Labels

Visual Labels is designed to work with most common Avery Label stock, using an easy screen to select templates. Visual Labels also supports User Defined layouts.

When its time to print or preview, you can choose to print only specific labels on the page.
