MightyFax version 3.62
Mighty FAX installs a printer driver so that you can fax directly from Windows software, including Microsoft Word or any other Windows program. You do this simply by 'printing' to the Mighty Fax Printer Driver, which creates a fax from your printout. As an example, here is how to fax a document from Microsoft Word:
You can also add a cover page to the fax. Or, for quick one-page faxes, you can just go into MightyFax and create a cover page by itself with a short message.

Once a fax is created it is ready to be sent (transmitted). You can do this at any time, whenever it is convenient for you. Outgoing faxes are stored in the Outgoing fax table and may be viewed, printed and sent at any time. Once the fax is created, to send it simply click on the SEND button. Faxes may be sent to traditional fax machines, as well as to other faxmodems. MightyFax uses the modem in your computer and a regular telephone line to send faxes. Most modems (99%) will work fine without any special setup.
To receive faxes, Mighty Fax must first be put into "receive mode". While it is in receive mode, it will answer all incoming calls, fax or not. If you plan to have Mighty Fax constantly in receive mode, it is best to have a separate telephone line. Received faxes are stored in the Incoming fax table and may be viewed and printed at any time. You can keep them for as long as you like, or delete them when no longer needed. Please note: Your fax number is whichever number the faxmodem is plugged into. We do not assign fax numbers.

Are you using DSL or Cable? Having DSL or Cable does not prevent faxing, as long as your 56k modem and standard analog telephone line are still connected. Most people have this, even if they also have DSL or Cable. DSL and Cable are for Internet access ONLY. Faxing does not go through the Internet. It dials the telephone number of the receiving fax machine for a direct fax-to-fax connection. This requires a regular telephone connection. If you are not sure - download the software and try it out. It costs you nothing to try it, and our support department will be happy to assist you in getting it set up if you run into any problems
