Q: If I place an order online, how long does it take to get the serial number?

A: The time it takes to process your online order will be under 1 minute. The time it takes for you to receive your registration information depends on how long it takes for the automated email to get to your system once it leaves our system. You should use your real email address. Anonymous email services such as hotmail.com, yahoo.com, etc. are subject to additional checking and require manual processing. Manual processing is usually completed within 24 hours, 48 on weekends and holidays.

Note: if you are an AOL user please make VERY SURE you are able to recieve non-AOL email. Check keyword MAILCONTROL on AOL. Many people have this set as “Allow email from all AOL members. Block email from all others.” Unfortunately, if you have it set up this way, there is no way for us to email a serial number to you because it will be blocked by AOL. Q: Can I buy your software at a store?

A: No, sorry. We sell only directly to end users, not through resellers or stores.

Q: Do you offer a money back guarantee?

A: We do offer a 30-day money back guarantee. If for some reason you are not happy with the product, simply contact orders@bmtmicro.com within 30 days of the purchase date and they will be happy to issue a credit.

Q: How much is $19.95 (US) in my country’s currency?

A: Currency exchange rates change daily. We recommend using google to find a currency conversion site, and look up what $19.95 (US) is in your country’s currency today. This is the amount you will be billed on your credit card statement if you order today.

Q: What is sent to me when I place an order?

A: Normally, you will have downloaded and tested the 30-day free trial version of the software. ( There is no charge for the 30-day free trial. All you need to do is download it from our web page, install it, and try it out for 30 days. )

When you purchase software from us, we email a serial number to your email address. The email also includes instructions on how to enter the registered name and serial number into the program to turn trial mode restrictions off.

At any time in the future, if you lose your copy of the program due to a hard drive failure, or if you need to install a copy on a new computer, you can download the latest trial version from this website and use the same registered name and serial number to register it again.

NOTE: We send this email to the email address you have specified – please double check to be sure the email address is correct when placing your order.

Q: What about privacy?

A: RKS Software never, ever gives out customer information or email addresses in any manner. All information is kept strictly confidential.

Q: Why do you need my address?

A: Address verification protects you, and the merchant, in the case of a stolen credit card. You know your address, but the thief may not.

Modern credit card authorization procedures now allow submission of the credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and zip code. The merchant knows instantly if the claimed billing address is correct or not, and can decide whether to accept, reject, or further verify the charge.

If you charge something and the merchant does not ask for your address, including zip code, the merchant is not using current credit card authorization techniques, and is not protecting you if a thief is trying to use your stolen credit card.

Your billing information is required only for Credit Card verification, and is never used for anything else.

Q: Will I get ‘SPAM’ if I give you my email address?

A: No. We never, ever give out customer information or email addresses in any manner. We also will never send you an email unless it is in reponse to a question or email from you.

Q: Can I get the program on disk or CD?

A: We don’t ship the program installation file on disk or CD. The program installation file is always available by download from our web site.

Q: What if I have technical questions?

A: If you have technical questions, please send email to Email support.before placing your order. We want to be sure the program works for you before you place your order. Technical support is provided free of charge by email during the 30 day evaluation period, and for six months after the date of purchase.

Q: I already purchased it once – I just need an upgrade. What do I do?

A: If you have already paid for and registered this product and are wanting to upgrade, please do not order again.

Q: I have purchased the program, but the serial number I received is not being accepted.

A: Make sure the serial number you are entering is for the correct application. Check the notification you received from RKS Software, which will give the product name and the platform (i.e. 16-bit or 32-bit). Then check the program About box under Help…About, and see if the information there matches the serial number notification that you have received.

The entry under Your Name should be entered exactly as spelled in the notification you received from RKS Software. If the registered name in the notification has periods, enter them in the serial number dialog. If the registered name in the notification has no periods, then do not enter periods in the serial number dialog.

Enter the serial number under Your Serial Number exactly as given in the notification you received from RKS Software. It should start with ‘RKS-‘, followed by a series of numbers.

Q: I lost the email with my serial number. How do I get it back?

A: Please send an email to Email sales.giving as much of the following information as you can:

– Your name (the name used when ordering)
– Your email address when ordering
– The order number if you have it
– The name of the product (we have several)

The sales department will be happy to look up your registration and send this information to you again. Please be sure to include enough information so that they can find your record. Please note: we currently provide this service as a courtesy to our customers – please do not abuse it.

Q: What about the 16-bit (Windows 3.1) versions? Where can I order these?

A: We no longer sell 16-bit (Windows 3.1) versions of our products.

Q: Can I use this program on my desktop and my laptop?

A: If you are the primary user of both computers, you may purchase one copy and install it on both of your computers.

Just enter the registered name and serial number we send you after purchase into both installations.

Q: Do you have quantity discounts?

Q: What about future versions of Windows?

A: We do not guarantee that any product will work with future versions of Windows. What we are offering for sale is a license to use the specific version of our product that you are now using, on the specific version of Windows you are now working with, with the specific hardware you are now using. If we do come out with a version for a future version of Windows, then that upgrade is normally free (if significant work and expense is involved to create the new version, we reserve the right to charge a small upgrade fee ). This is not a guarantee that we will come out with an upgrade for a future version of Windows. There is also no guarantee that if we do release an upgrade it will work for you with your specific hardware/software arrangement. We provide the 30-day free trial period specifically so that you can test the software on your particular hardware and software setup.

Q: What if I switch computers and the product no longer works?

A: We do not guarantee that any product will work with anything besides the exact hardware and software that you are using now. What we are offering for sale is a license to use the specific version of our product that you are now using, on the specific version of Windows you are now working with, with the specific hardware you are now using. If you switch computers, you are allowed to transfer the software to the new computer but you must delete it from the old computer, but this is not a guarantee that the software will perform as expected on the new computer and hardware. We provide the 30-day free trial period specifically so that you can test the software on your particular hardware and software setup.

Q: What if I change modems? Will my fax software still work?

A: We do not guarantee that our fax software will work with anything besides the exact hardware and software that you are using now. What we are offering for sale is a license to use the specific version of our product that you are now using, on the specific version of Windows you are now working with, with the specific hardware you are now using. Our fax software works with a wide variety of modems, but there is no guarantee that it will work with any specific modem. We provide the 30-day free trial period specifically so that you can test the software on your particular hardware and software setup.

Q: Who is BMT Micro?
